The key to a smooth festival weekend is, you guessed it, to be prepared—and we’re here to make sure you have everything you need to make the best of your Roots N Blues N BBQ experience! Here are 5 things to remember when preparing for this years’ festival.
If you’re worried about having to lug all of your things around the festival, well do we have an idea for you! There’s nothing better than having your arms free to dance and hands to throw in the air when your favorite song comes on.Of course, what you put in your backpack is almost as important as the fact that you brought one, so throw those sunglasses and jackets in a backpack, and get movin’.
When your favorite artists are playing back-to-back, and you’re on the run, you will be SO happy you have extra water with you — especially after all of the time spent in the sun and a few beers! If you have a large enough Camelback it can also double as your backpack; if not, you can always place your Camelbak bladder in an appropriately-sized backpack so you have room for everything else you might need. Not everyone has a Camelbak, and that’s okay too! Just bring a large reusable water bottle and make sure to refill it often at one of our refilling stations. The most important thing here is to make sure you stay hydrated.
If you don’t already know, we’re cashless! We’ve all had that moment of panic when you reach in your bag and can’t find your cash or card; but, thankfully, those times are behind us. Now, you can set up your RFID wristband with your credit or debit card before coming to the festival, which allows you to make purchases by simply double-tapping your wristband at vendor locations! And if you forget to register it online, no biggie. You can add money to your wristband at the top-up stations throughout the festival grounds. Not convinced yet? Check out the cashless page on our website for more information as well as wristband registration.
If you’re going to be at the festival all day long, it’s very likely that your phone is going to run out of battery. Keeping your device charged will ensure that you’re able to find your friends if you get lost, you’re able to order an Uber or Lyft home if you’ve had a little too much to drink & that you’re able to capture some incredible moments from this years’ festival. While we encourage you to try and live in the moment, we understand that sometimes you’ll need a picture or video if your favorite artists. I mean how amazing is this years’ lineup?!
Just like the Beatles taught us, “All you need is love.” The world could always use a little more! We want to make sure we’re building a positive and inclusive environment for everyone at our festival, so make sure you show a little love to your neighbors and help a friend out if they need it.
