5 holiday presents for music lovers

-Lucy Shanker, Roots N Blues Intern

November is more than halfway over, which means that Christmas music is officially socially acceptable to listen to now. We know you’ve been listening to “Little Drummer Boy” since November 1st, but now you can listen in public and not be judged.

With that being said, it’s also time to start thinking about holiday presents for all your loved ones. Here at RNB, we know that is no easy feat. I don’t know what’s more tough — buying the perfect present for your mom or figuring out something to get that one cousin you see once a year? Luckily, we’re going to take some of that stress away: keep reading for our list of the top 5 holiday presents to get a music lover.

1. Bluetooth speaker string lights

The thing you didn’t know you needed, but now you need to have. Whether you’re 15 or 50,  hang this speaker & string lights combo around your office or bedroom to light up any space. They wirelessly connect with your phone, so you don’t have to worry about a thousand cords either.

2. Outdoor pop-up house

This one goes out to all those dedicated festival-goers who camp out for three days of music and the outdoors. This outdoor house from Academy Sports is the perfect party space. With an optional UV-protected screen, you’re prepared for rain, bugs, heat — all the elements. When the RNB crew camped out for two days in the middle-of-nowhere Iowa for Hinterland Music Festival, this thing practically saved our lives. Get this for that aunt who dutifully attends Bonnaroo every year, and then remind them to go to the 2018 Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival, too.

3. Craft beer shirt

If you don’t really know a relative very well, but you know they love beer, here’s the gift to buy. Bur Oak Brewery sells these clever shirts for only $10, and they are sure to be a hit. Or, get them a collection of craft beer T-shirts; you can get one from Logboat Brewery or Broadway Brewery, too. If you don’t want to offend them by buying the wrong size, you can always go the safe route and go for this Bur Oak hat. Everybody loves hats.

4. All American Made by Margo Price on Vinyl

In case you missed it, RNB alum Margo Price released a new album this month, and it’s incredible. If you’re looking for the perfect Vinyl to get that relative who loves having a hard copy of his/her music, this is the one. Even better, head on over to your local record store to pick it up. For Columbia readers, that’s Vinyl Renaissance.

5. Roots N Blues weekend four pack

Here’s how you kill four birds with one stone. Get our Holiday Pack for those ultimate music lovers; you’ll get 4 VIP tickets for $999. It’s only available for November 24th to December 1st, so grab ‘em fast! Even better, you won’t have to stress about getting your tickets before they sell out.
