The Wilders

Hillbilly band The Wilders, comprised of Betse Ellis on the fiddle, guitarist Ike Sheldon, Phil Wade on banjo, bassist Nate Gawron, are known for rampaging rhythyms, a hellbent attitude, and explosive stage presence. They were a finalist for “Best Alt-Country Album” (Someone“s Got to Pay) and “Best American Song” (Hey Little Darlin), in 2008 they won the Best of Kansas City—Best Country Band award, and were named among Nashville Scene“s “Best of 2006: Albums too Country for Country Radio” among other distinctions.
