- Where are tickets available for purchase?
- Tickets are available at all Gerbes and Dillons stores, Walgreens stores, The Blue Note box office and online through the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival site at www.rootsnbluesnbbq.com and Etix.
- What time is the festival open?
- Friday, September 9th, 5pm-11pm and September 10th, 11am-11pm.
- Can we leave the festival and come back in later in the day?
- Yes, re-entry will be allowed. Individuals seeking re-entry will need to wear and present their day-of wristband to enter.
- What is allowed in the festival area?
- The following items are ALLOWED at Roots N Blues N BBQ:
- Food
- Blankets
- Hand held umbrellas
- Baby strollers
- Non-Professional Recording Equipment (Point & Shoot Cameras, Flip Video Cameras, etc.)
The following items are NOT ALLOWED at Roots N Blues N BBQ:
- Outside beverages, this includes water, soda, alcoholic beverages, coffee, etc.
- Coolers
- Glass containers
- Weapons
- Noise makers and laser pointers
- Pets (However service animals, which have been trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability, are welcome)
- Professional recording equipment
- Can I bring a chair?
- Chairs are welcomed at the festival. However we ask that everyone follow our festival seating guidelines and keep all chairs back beyond a certain point to keep pathways clear.
- Where can I pick up will call tickets?
- Will call tickets and press passes can be picked up at the ticket gate located on 7th and Cherry Street.
- Will there be a free area?
- The stage at Flatbranch park is a gift to the community and is a free area for all to enjoy. This includes the Family Zone, in Flat Branch Park, and the barbecue competition area.
- Where can I park?
- The festival is situated in the heart of downtown Columbia and is located in close proximity to several large parking garages. These parking garages are located at 5th & Walnut, 6th & Cherry, 8th & Cherry, and Hitt & Elm.
- What kind of arrangements do you have for accessibility?
- The first level of the 6th & Cherry parking garage will be designated for accessible parking. If you have any special needs requests, please email info@rootsnbluesnbbq.com.

- Will you be recycling?
- Yes, the Roots N Blues N BBQ festival is doing its part to help keep the festival green. Please recycle all appropriate materials in the designated bins throughout the festival footprint.
- I’m bringing my bike to the festival, is there anywhere close to a festival entrance to park?
- We have a bike valet service located in the Shakespeare’s parking lot right next to our ticket entrance. Ride green to the festival!
- Can I buy BBQ from the competitors?
- No, the teams are set up to compete for the weekend and are not in the business of selling their product. You will be able to purchase delicious BBQ from any one of our vendors.
- What is going on in the District that weekend?
- Enjoy specials and discounts from featured restaurants and retailers all weekend long! Look for the Roots N Blues N BBQ guitar pick logo in the windows of downtown businesses, and ask what sort of Roots N Blues N BBQ discount they are offering!
- Can I upgrade to VIP Whole Hog?
- Absolutely! Upgrade at the Whole Hog Check-in located at the 9th and Elm ticket gate. Fly Whole Hog!
- Will Festival merchandise be available for purchase?
- Festival T-shirts, hats, posters and other items will be sold at the festival.
- When is the Roots N Blues N BBQ race?
- The Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival Half Marathon and 10K will be September 10th.
