Curreykorn

We hope you enjoy listening to our family band. It took lots of hard work and practice, a good dose of humility, a large portion of humor and a simple trust in God’s grace through Christ to help us get this far, both musically and as a family. So, if Curreykorn were a spice, you now know the secret to our recipe.

Though I’ve picked the guitar since my youth, Nancy and the kids are relative newcomers. Nancy claims to be musically challenged, but I think she really holds us all together on the bass, faithful in all things. Sadie has been an absolute work-horse, playing solid fiddle breaks, singing with all her heart and striving for excellence in everything. John is innovative, steady and has the endurance you need in a mandolin player, as well as the eldest son. Luke is dramatic, passionate, and versatile, whether singing, dancing or learning to play the banjo. Sam listens well and sings from her heart (and will probably replace me on guitar someday) and Maggie, well, she’s as cute as they come, always steals the show and is a blessing to our home. As you’d expect, I’m really proud of each and everyone! Anyway, we’ll be the first to admit that we’ve got lots to learn, quite a ways to go and hopefully a few more years to continue on this musical journey.
