Mark your calendars now for the 2nd Annual KCBS Sanctioned Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Competition to be held October 3-4, 2008.

Here's what's going down:

• Yes, we know that the American Royal is the same weekend, but that gives you a better chance of winning our competition, now doesn't it?
• $15,000 in CASH prizes
• Groove to national roots and blues acts all weekend long

Competition categories include brisket, pork, ribs, chicken and sausage.

The BBQ entry deadline is extended to FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19.
